Partners News No. 4 - July 2000

New at 2-in-2-1
The last quarter has seen several new developments at 2-in-2-1 as we aim to broaden our appeal, and improve the information available to our visitors.
The big development has been the introduction of the Citizen's Centre aimed at providing married couples with information on their rights and responsibilities as citizens under British law. Inevitably much has focussed on the breakdown of relationships and divorce, but we have included as much positive input as we can find in the area. Introduction of the area has enabled us to offer the latest range of do-it-yourself legal documents from Desktop Lawyer direct through 2-in-2-1. We are also now listed at "Just Ask", the general advisory site launched as part of the Lord Chancellors Community Legal Service earlier this year.
The second area we are actively developing at present is a consolidated listing of all the Marriage Enhancement programmes open to the public with their dates and locations. If you have a programme that is open to the public, with or without reservation, then please e-mail us to let us know and we will ensure it's on our list. Later this year we hope to add a facility to search the list by type of programme, location or date to make it really user friendly!
There's been a lot of new content but we would particularly highlight the "Marital First Aid" series which we use with kind permission of the Cary Counseling Center from the USA. This excellent material provides a really thought provoking insight to common areas of marriage problems - do take a look!
We're really excited too about the £1 a night hotel accommodation - available at over 900 hotels in UK and Europe. Go on, why not treat yourselves to a great weekend break - your marriages deserve it!!
