Womens Magazines feature 2-in-2-1
Leading Womens' magazine "Best" (circ'n 501,000) featured 2-in-2-1 in an article headed "How to Boost your marriage using the Internet".The article read:
Liz Percival is co-founder of 2-in-2-1, a website with everything you need to know about marriage, from the wedding preparations themselves to professional help with problem solving. Here are some tips on improving your marriage...
- Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of your relationship.
Use a simple online questionnaire, or better still take one of the proven Relationship Inventories like PREPARE/ENRICH and work through it with your partner. Be prepared for some surprises though! A good programme will help you start to dig down to the real underlying issues in your relationship.
Many couples turn to counselling, but leave it too late! It's OK to ask for help! Whether you want support face-to-face, by phone or even by e-mail help is always available. As well as Relate and Marriage Care, there are many accredited counsellors throughout the country - use the net to find those in your locality.
A weekend away, just the two of you, free from pressures and distractions can be a great tonic! Add some guidance on finding new dimensions to your relationship, and deeper communication skills, and re-discover romance! Many organisations like Marriage Encounter offer weekends across the country which provide a real opportunity to transform a good marriage into a great relationship.
- Add some romantic touches!
Diary note: 9.00 am – e-mail partner romantic card! 12.00 noon, follow up with virtual flowers! Whether it’s more romantic touches, or tips to liven up your love-life, there’s loads of ideas on the net to help you finish the day in the most romantic way – curled up together as a husband and wife should be!
All of this, and a myriad of other marriage related advice, can be found at www.2-in-2-1.co.uk
In March 2001, in an article on marriage and the internet, Janet Hawkins writes about a lady who claims her marriage was saved after visiting the site. "It was so easy as all I had to do was sit at my keyboard and type whenever I needed advice. And it took the embarrassment out of talking frankly about our sex problems." After a number of weeks of contact with the 2-in-2-1 team, she was able to face going to counselling and things began to improve. "If I hadn't turned to the net, we'd definitely have split up by now."
